32c here at 11am this morning and possibly the same yesterday. I was up at 7am yesterday morning and the Lime trees opposite the drive were all ready humming to the sound of bees working. And in the evening at 9.30pm it was still humming, no wonder honey bees only live for 6 weeks.
We heard from the Police on Friday re the stolen honey honesty tin. Basically – they had done nothing. Though we told them the name of the company on the van involved, they said they couldn’t find them. I therefore went on Google and with one click of the mouse had the companies telephone number. Inspector Plod at their best !! It’s on my list job today to give them a call to see what they think of a member of their staff stealing honesty tins whilst advertising their company.
The NFU Countryside magazine has published an interview with me in their July issue – “ Getting Started in Bee Keeping “.
This two page article with photos gives brief information on how to get started plus a piece on myself and my book – Bee Keeping: A Novices Guide.
They are also running a competition to win 4 copies of the book.
