Honey Jar Labels – Printing
I have had a number of inquires for honey jar labels with my photos taken from Beekeeping: A Novice’s Guide
So I have received a quote from my printers to do a printing batch of labels for myself and anyone who would like some printed.
Below I show some designs. These can be mixed and matched, as long as you give me precise instructions.
The labels are printed on crackback stickers, these are individual stickers you crack and peel off the paper.
Size of finished label is 76mm x 51mm these will fit on 1 lb and 1/2 lb jars. Round and Hexagonal.
Prices – one design front label
100x £20.00 250x £30.00 500x £40.00 1000x £50.00 incl. postage to one UK address
Price – Granulated label 76mm x 25mm
100x £15.00 250x £18.00 500x £28.00 1000x £40.00 incl. postage to one UK address
To choose and layout your Labels I will need the following information.
Which label ? Each is numbered. If wishing to mix a photo with a different background and or text colour, please give precise details.
Your County details ? IE North Yorkshire / Essex Marshes etc.
Honey Year ? 2012 – yes / no ? If you are ordering labels to cover more than this year, suggest you leave the year off.
Your Name and Address/Post Code ? This is legally required on the label.
1lb or 1/2lb ? These cannot be mixed sizes. You will have to order either 250x 1lb and 250x 1/2 lb as an example. You cannot order 125x 1lb and 125x 1/2 lb.
Best before date: Best Before End 2014 I believe in UK this is a requirement.
If you would like your own photo on label Email me your photo at 300dpi max. 20cm width Jpeg. I will Photoshop image for colour/clarity etc. £5.00 added to order to use own photograph.
Number of labels required ? IE: 100x label 2 and 500x label 8 plus 500 Granulated label.
Telephone Number ? Not for label but for me to call you if I am not clear on your instructons.

Hi David,
I would love to order 100 X no. 10 label (honey comb pic) @£20.00
!lb jar size please.
Do you have to put the county on or could I have the place name of where the honey comes from e.g. Sulgrave Manor, because we are actually on the border or 3 counties.
My address is; chosan, Banbury Lane, Thorpe Mandeville, Banbury, Oxon.
No, to the year date, I don’t think I will produce that amount this year.
my telephone number for queries is 01295 712343

I have re-looked up UK honey regulations and I cannot find fault with the labels. Though I have asked the person who wrote that there were 3 errors, to point these out, they have not replied. It has been pointed out to me before that you cannot show a picture of a bee on a flower, as this might depict that the honey only comes from this flower/nectar source. I cannot find any wording in the regulations to say this. I have used my flower/bee pictures for a number of years without problems. If you would like me to procced, please let me know plus email me your email address to send the proof to. Thank you.
